Startupbootcamp FinTech with RHB

So last weekend something amazing happened from the 13th -15th of May 2016. A weekend filled with young brilliant minds who strive to make a name and impact with the world. This event was catered for entrepreneurs, designers, developers and digital business owners who are keen on finding the right solutions for businesses.

RHB Bank has teamed up with Startupbootcamp FinTech to bring digital innovations in financial services to the Malaysian market.

Startupbootcamp FinTech is Europe’s leading accelerator, and the first of its kind, focused on financial innovation, providing FinTech startups with funding, mentorship and guidance from leading financial services industry partners. Startups will also gain access to a global network of investors and venture capitalists. It's really cool right!

Under this partnership, RHB will be involved in the evaluation process, funding, mentoring for the FinTech Accelerator programme, as well as organising of Fast Track Days and Hackathons that just took place last weekend. How awesome is that right??

You must be wondering, so how does it all work? Well, here's how :-

1) Start-ups from across the region are invited to apply in pitching their ideas to the host team/ partners where 10 will be qualified to move on to the next level. From here, they will go on to the accelerator programme that will go on for 3 months.

2) The 10 teams will then be invited to present their companies/ideas to more than 200 investors, mentors, and partners during Demo Day.

3) Pitch preparation includes hands-on guidance from investors, and leads into 3 months of fundraising support.

4) All start-ups are later offered 3 months of additional co-working space by their host program to consolidate connections and often raise funding. They also join over 200 startups in the world’s leading Alumni Growth Program, which offers monthly masterclasses, frequent gatherings, and access to the most important scaling resources such as later stage investors, PR contacts and recruiting support.

It was pretty much an intense yet productive and awesome experience. So many different ideas were brought to the table and I'm pretty sure it was hard to pick the best out of the best! Thank goodness I wasn't given that role! hahahah.

But at the end of it all, there needed to be winners and here they are!!
  • Overall Innovation – won by team AgentHero with members Bobby Ong Chong Eu and Lee Teik Ming. The app is designed to teleport a financial advisor to customer’s doorstep.
  • Best Technical Solution – won by team Muin Bot with members Raja Hafify and Jonathan Wong. Muin Bot is an intelligence chat interface that works as another channel for millennials to engage the bank and financial advisors. It is also an avenue for banks to capture or reach millennials
  • Best Fit to a Challenge – won by Team A with members Leong Yok Tien, Tan Khai Ping and Chew Chit Siang. The app acts as a goal oriented wealth assistant.
Woohoo!! Congratulations to all winners! Looking forward to your innovations as we progress to a better future!
If you missed the opportunity to participate this year, don't worry because there will be another one happening next year. Just make sure to follow :

Hope to see you at the next Startupbootcamp Fintech with RHB :)

Journey : Collectors Edition - PS4

Journey....Journey....Journey.......

where do I begin... This is an adventure game. As you put the CD on, you can choose 1 from 3 adventures. It's not your typical adventure game where you kill and shoot someone, blood spatter, crashing into things and etc...this is more of a relaxing adventure. There is even no intro video, it just starts with a soothing music, the kind that you find in a spa! Just take the controller and go with the flow.

I tried 2 out of 3 adventures. One of it was called FLOWER. The graphics and visual...as always PS has got it down. Just brilliant. It's like you become a petal of a flower, and let the wind takes you on a JOURNEY. It's like giving a look at what life is like as a petal...how soothing and free it can be when you just follow where the wind takes you. Accompanied by a relaxing tune, it somewhat puts you in a very hypnotic state. (actually...i nearly dozed off :p). If you are a philosophical kind of person, you can probably come up with a story from this!

So I think, that's basically it. That's what this game Journey is about....You just go on a Journey....

DriveClub Limited Edition - PS4

Alrighty, now this is what I'm all about! I just love speed and this game is what I definitely enjoy. This is a game where you can do time trial, race, and more. You have leaderboards, you can race against other people, you can create/custom your cars, collect rewards, unlock "cars" for your future races and so much more.

But of course the main thing for me is the thrill of racing itself. Since I'm not able to do it on the real tracks, this would suffice. Plus I don't have to worry about crashing my car! LOL! What you're about to watch below, is actually me playing the game and this video was saved as a replay. But please, do not judge, as this is my first time getting the hang and feel of the race.... :)

This game is really awesome for those "closet racers". The graphics and how the controller vibrates really gives you the ultimate feel of a real race! I can play this till the early morning. And to me this is the perfect "switch-off" game. After a long day at work, and you just want to relax and not think too much, pop in the DriveClub Limited Edition into the PS4 console and just lose yourself. Below is the car I used to collect my trophies and rewards. *Mercedes should sponsor me in real life because i am an awesome driver and suit the whole look* hahahaha...

What a gorgeous beast! Wish I had one in real life. So yeah! LOVE  THIS GAME!!

luv, me.

Little Big Planet 3 - PS4

I tried this new game I got form PS4. It's called Little Big Planet 3. What is it really about? Well...

This game allow players to create their own levels, characters, objects, such as power ups, tools, decorations, stickers, or vehicles, hub levels, and other things. We may also share our creations. The core gameplay revolves around navigating colourful and vibrant levels with a set character, using power ups, jumping, swimming, swinging, grabbing, interacting with switches and non playable characters, defeating enemies, completing the main objectives, and finding collectibles, stickers, materials, objects, and gadgets. (taken from wikipedia).

To be honest, I actually do not understand this game. Maybe I need to start with Little Big Planet 1? But one thing for sure is that the visual and animation of this game is AMAZING!!!

I couldn't help but to feel amazed at how awesome the visuals are! As you are playing the game, the narrator will guide and tell you how everything is done. But for me, I still did not get the purpose of this game. All I can gather from this is that, its about letting your imagination run wild and be creative!

Here are some of the pictures I took of me playing the game....

They are really pretty...this game is like a thinking game because you actually start on a puzzle. Like how it was explained earlier, you collect stickers and stuff as you go along and start creating your own character, levels and more. I'm not sure how I feel about this game...

SONY PS4 - Did I Kill the Boss??

So the continuation of Tomb Raider : Lara Croft & The Temple of Osiris...

The beast was too fast for me. I tried for about 4 rounds and this happened...

So I was excited for sure for finally defeating the beast! A sense of relief hit me because i was in a panic mode, not sure of the moves and stuff that Lara could do, so yeah...i was able to breathe again. :p

Moving on to the next level (if that's what its called), looked pretty easy, but wait!!! Check this out....

Woohoooo!!! I deserve a pat in the back for this! That was really fun! And no i didn't do it at one go, it actually took me 3 tries to finish him off. :)

Luv, me.

My Travel Companion, the Jabra Move Wireless Headphones

Travelling is my most favourite thing to do. I believe every person and child should at least travel once in their lifetime to open up their minds and horizons for a different look at life.

Depending on the kind of traveller you are, you will have different requirements. I am the sort who can't live without music. Music is such a big part of my life. I even go to sleep with it. So having the right gear/gadget for my travelling is so important. Comfort and practicality is key.

I have many headphones and they are all good. I love every one of them. But I have chosen Jabra Move Wireless to be my travel companion because it is practical and it's so easy to have around simply because it is wireless! All you need is a bluetooth. As you can see above, I don't have to worry about cables around my neck, body or it getting stuck to my knapsack and such. Just leave it around your neck and you're ready to explore! I sometimes forget that the Jabra is even there!

The sound is pretty decent. I'm more of bass kind of person. But if you're exploring, it may not be a good idea to cut yourself out from your surrounding sounds because you have to be aware too. So the Jabra is loud enough for you to enjoy your music, and it enables you to kinda hear what's going on around you...i hope that makes sense?!

Just look at it! So neat and stylish at the same time. Who doesn't want that right??

Luv, me and Jabra Move Wireless :)

Tomb Raider : Lara Croft & The Temple Of Osiris

So it's been a while since I played my PS4 and I was quite determined to go as far as I could with this game. I knew I was going to spend hours in trying to complete a certain level. So this time I'm going do things differently.  Instead of writing it, I thought it would be great to let you in on how awesome the graphics and the experience is...i just wish the audio was better though...

So here's how i started...

So yeah...i was frustrated at first because it took a while for me to figure out Lara's  moves again...LOL! When i finally got it figured out, this happened....

Maaaaann!!! That was scary! I panicked and I forgot what does what! LOL.... but this one right here....

LOL! I died!! But I didn't stop there! By this time I had spent 30 minutes on the game. Did I manage to escape the beast??? Wait for the next post! :)

Luv, me.

I HAVE A SONY PS4....FINALLY! :)

Hey there! Hope all is well with you. Let me start by saying Selamat Hari Raya and Maaf Zahir Batin! I'm sure you had a wonderful celebration and holiday! :)

So...yea! I'm back here in my little space. If you have read my postings, you would know that I am the kind of girl who likes to play and try out new things. Since I was little, I have always enjoyed playing, and one of the them is video games! It's not very common for a girl to be hooked on video games, but I am one of those girls. My parents bought a console when we were little, so imagine having to share 1 game console with 3 other brothers growing up! I had to wait for ages just to get my hands on it. Thinking back just makes me LOL! So, I just want to say thank you to the people who created video games for putting colours in my life growing up.

Now, I have my own console!! A SONY PS 4 that is super sexy and awesome! I have always wanted one of my own and now I do! I just need to save up to get myself a ROCK BAND game and set! How technology has evolved is just amazing. The joystick vibrates, the animation is flawless, movement of the game/characters are so fluid that sometimes you forget that you are actually playing a game.

But for now, I have these 3 games that I'm going to test out. To tell you the truth, I am more of an adventure game kinda of person, the kinds that collect gold coins, jumping from obstacles to another. I also like racing and the shooting games but I am definitely open to try out different types and genres of games, so that is why I have opted to try out :

1) Lara Croft and The Temple of Osiris

2) Little Big Planet

3) Drive Club

my PS4 game collection

Lara Croft and The Temple of Osiris :-

So , this is how it looks like.....

It's basically a strategy game where you need to get Lara Croft and her team out of the Temple of Osiris. I have never played this kind of game and one thing's for sure, you will need to have a lot of patience and time (because you will find yourself stuck somewhere for a long time) for this game. When you start playing, you will need to watch the mini-movie to understand the storyline and learn what you need to do to get out of the temple.

As you move along, collecting gold and precious stones, instructions will appear to tell you how to use your weapons, and that can take a bit of time to get used to. A good hand and eye coordination will help in completing a task. Dude! I got freaked out as I was playing  and going further into the temple when the bad guys and ghosts started to appear. Even my nephew got freaked out! First you get a shock and then you panic and you forget how to use your weapons, and the next thing you know, you just died! LOL!! So from this you can imagine, how long it took for me to move to the next room! Not even level yet! LOL! That's why I said you would need a lot of time for this game....or maybe its just me :p

I am still trying to understand the movement and weapons that Lara Croft has playing this game, so this may take a while till I get to the next level. So far I have managed to get passed 3 doors, and currently stuck at the ghost area. Its pretty tough for me and it can get frustrating, but nothing will stop and demotivate me from destroying the bad guys! I will get far in this game and get Lara Croft and her team out of the Temple of Osiris. Just you wait!

luv, me.

SEPHORA BEAUTE BOX : ALGENIST SERIES :)

Hi!!

It's time for me to tell you about this awesome series. I believe that when it comes to facial products, results can only take place in 3-4 weeks...well that's just my opinion.  Like I have mentioned previously on my posts...my skin is very picky, so I am quite careful when I try on new products.

So I have been given the Algenist with Alguronic Acid :-

1) Regenerative Anti-Aging Moisturiser

2) Concentrated Reconstructive Serum

3) Complete Eye Renewal Balm

I have been using this just over 3 weeks and I love it. My skin feels like its always moisturised. After putting on make-up, I noticed that my face is not as oily. Normally I would have to blot it, but now, it's much better. It also makes my skin supple and soft.

The texture is so smooth like silk, especially the Eye Renewal Balm and the fact that it's quite light make them ACE in my books! And I'm talking about all 3 of the above.

The Eye Renewal Balm is my favourite! I have been quite consistent with the products (normally i would skip my beauty regime...really!) because I am that serious in wanting to give you good news about the products.

Having good skin is important and finding the right product is crucial. I am very happy with the results right now. It 's a good thing I have a small face, so this can last me a while! hahahaha :)

Luv, me.

Sephora Beaute Box - All-In-One Nourishing Oil...top to toe beautifier :)

OK! Let's re-visit the benefit of oil for our skin :

Let's see...

- it helps boost radiance
- minimise wrinkles and fine lines
- improve shine for hair
- help the skin and hair retain moisture and stay hydrated all day
- and so much more!!

Overall, I have very dry skin, the kind that needs the help of a Dermatologist. I have eczema (thank goodness its not the serious kind). Nothing from off the shelves products in the pharmacy actually do anything for my dry skin.

But, i just wanna tell you about this All-In-One Nourishing Oil.. head to toe beautifier...

I have been using it for 2 weeks now. I apply it after shower and yes, I love the smell! Even if it doesn't really do much for my skin, but i find it very useful when i'm out and about and couldn't get back in time to freshen up, this baby actually does the trick! I just spray it all over my arms and legs, and BOOMZ! it gives my an awesome glow!

This two-stage oil conquers all cosmetic feats thanks to a combination of two ultra-nourishing oils,
Baobab oil and Jojoba oil: it nourishes, smoothes, moisturizes and beautifies the skin. This do-it-all product can also be used for your hair and face too!

This oil only cost RM49, affordable if you ask me. Perfect for girls who are always on the "GO". You don't have to carry so many different kinds of products in your bag anymore. This baby is all you need, top to toe beautifier. SWEET!

Try it and let me know what you think :)

luv, me.

Sephora Beaute Box - Sephora Supreme Cleansing Oil ( My Fav!)

About 8 days ago, I received my first ever Beaute Box from Sephora. I was so excited when I got them I actually behaved like a little kid in a candy store! My family was weirded out by my reaction! hahahaha...

So for the past 8 days, I have been using 2 types of oils. One is called the Sephora All-In-One Nourishing Oil and the other is the Sephora Supreme Cleansing Oil.

There are some peole who say that oil is not good for them. It clogs up your pores and make your skin become more oily. Well, it's also important for you to understand and know your skin first before trying it on. Actually, its important to know your body before trying anything! Coming back to the skin, me, I have combination skin.

Let's see, here are some benefits of oil  and what it does:

- it helps boost radiance
- minimise wrinkles and fine lines
- improve shine for hair
- help the skin and hair retain moisture and stay hydrated all day
- and so much more!!

And now, let's start with this new found favourite of mine, it is the Sephora Supreme Cleansing Oil.

There are many cleansing oils out there, yes I agree, but some are quite expensive. This one only cost RM45 and it can last you up to 3-4 months depending on the amount you use. It's very easy to use, just pump once on dry clean hands, rub it all over face that has make -up on. And then when you wet your hands and rub it against your skin again, the consistency of the oil will change into lotion. You don't need cotton pads for this. Keep massaging your face, after that wash it off like normal. It's gentle and effective, it removes make up quickly and it's even good for sensitive skin! Even water-proof make-up won't stand a chance! The best part is, it's non-greasy and it leaves your skin supple and soft after.

I wanna share with you my experience of not following instructions, I had to learn the hard way. There was once I had taken 3 pumps instead of 1 (as it was written on the bottle), but hear me out first.....the reason I took 3 pumps was because I had a photoshoot and the make up on my face was thicker than usual, so i thought the more make-up, the more oil I would need...NO! It doesnt work that way. Because I had taken too much, when I added water after that, I was having trouble removing the cleanser! My face was white and the stuff wont come off! I panicked of course, so I had to use a tissue to remove it! U can keep washing it but it will just take longer...so the moral of the story is, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! :P

Now, I follow instructions hehehehe...I guess you just need to be smart with the amount, but from experience, 1 pump is actually enough to remove the make-up.

So there!! You can try it out yourself. The fact that it can last a while, it's good for my pocket! :p

Next entry, I will share about the Sephora All-In-One Nourishing Oil...stay tuned to this page! :)

love, me.

WORKOUT = RESULTS

im a strong believer of working out to get in shape. i believe that one should sweat it out to remove all the toxin in the body and produce more endorphins to make you and your body feel good.

capoeira camara malaysia

                                                                   brazilian jiujitsu

i have been active since the day i can remember. i was a given the title "sportswoman of the year" for 2 consecutive years when i was in school. my life has always been associated with fitness. it runs in the family. my family would spend our free time to look for waterfalls, play badminton and tennis, trekking, play basketball and etc. anything that will make us sweat. thats how we are and that's also how we bond.

1 of the exercises done in capoeira to build strength

                                                              its the human wheel

recently i was given a bottle of slimming pill to be tested out, and honestly i did not see any difference on me. maybe its because im so used to seeing me the way i am and i consider myself quite slim. so seriously, i look the same to me. it probably will work differently on another person with different lifestyle....maybe. but for me, i already live in a healthy an active lifestyle so taking pills to keep me slim is something that is not in my books.

i want to say that there is no shortcuts to slimming/losing weight/get in shape. it all takes hard work. i don't believe in all these products that supposedly will help you lose weight without even  sweating it out. if someone looks slim without working out, you should ask if they are eating right or are they dieting? or they are just blessed with awesome bodies :). there are so many levels of dieting, you just need to know that whatever you do is not detrimental to your body and health. just make sure you dont skip your meals! knowing your BMI is also important to lead a healthy life.

he is our youngest student - 8 years old

playing instruments is part of capoeira

but of course there are so many other ways to keep yourself healthy and fit. find something that you really like doing. do it with a bunch of friends because its more fun!

so i hope you will adopt a healthy lifestyle and get your body to sweat. if you want do capoeira like me, you can come to CABOCO STUDIO, 16-1 BLOCK B, ZENITH CORPORATE PARK, NO.1 JALAN SS7/26 KELANA JAYA (behind Paradigm Mall). for more info you can call 016 9711765

and of course, dont forget to drink loads of water!

luv, me.

himalaya - ayurslim capsules

so i finally started on this himalaya ayurslim capsules. if you've read my last entry, you would know what this capsules do...ok la, it's a slimming pill. :P

I started last monday which was 6 days ago. the first day i took the pills, 2 in the morning and 2 at night, i did a frequent visit to the little girls room....3 times to be exact! So if you're going to try this out, make sure the first day is the day you are at home so you can have easy access to the toilet (but symptoms can be different).

it almost like it detoxified me for the first day but on the second day i was back to normal. I did feel a little difference like i had no craving for food as much. if its not lunch or dinner, i didn't feel like eating AND i get full quicker. it's great isn't it?!

but, this whole week, i have been taking the pill without working out and im seeing the difference in my eating habits... so starting tomorrow (1/4/2013) i will take the pills and workout at the same time and see what kind of results i'm going to get.

i must say, so far im liking this capsules...even though i find it really hard for me to swallow it! ( i have phobia for pills). my mission is to finish 1 bottle and try to get rid of my "love-handles" hehehehe...

luv, me.

MORE HIMALAYA!!

I'm such a sucker for beauty products. Every time i see something new, i would get excited and will try and see if it suits me. Of course, price plays a big role in what i buy too.

Himalaya products are quite awesome because they're herbal made and they're very affordable. My favourite is this one!

It does give you that fresh feeling and most importantly, it doesn't give you that "dry" and "tight" feeling after washing your face with it.

Im excited to try out this other new product. I love body lotions and since i have very dry skin, it's so difficult to find something that's not too thick in texture. I'm not a fan of that "oily and sticky' feeling, so  this body lotion is great because it doesn't give you that. It has that "homey" smell, the kind that takes you back to the time when life was so much simpler...you'd feel so comfortable especially when you go to sleep!

Let's give this one a try and see the wonders of it :)

luv, me.

Be Slim with Himalaya AyurSlim

Hey you guys!! How have you been?? Hope all is well with you! Guess what! Last week, i was called to check out Himalaya's latest product, the "AYURSLIM". As many of may you know, i am an active person and looking after my body is something very close to me, although sometimes i do get naughty and lazy to workout and such! hehehehe..

So this new product "AYURSLIM" is not like your any other sliming pills. Because its herbal made, the process  obviously will take slightly longer. Be reminded that when you take any form of slimming pill, you must include your exercise and workout schedule in it. C'mon, you cant lose it without putting any work to it....right?

Same goes with Himalaya's "AYURSLIM", when you start taking the pill, you need to compliment it with some exercise and drinking loadsa water is required too!

What it does is : -
1) Limits fat production
- burns up fat cells and stops fat formation

2) Reduces craving for sugar ( that's helpful because its so difficult to cut down on sugar! )

3) Reduces excess cholesterol

4) It detoxifies body and has bowel cleansing action ( so if you have trouble going to the toilet, this certainly will do the trick!)

5) Blocks absorption of sugar

This pill has no reported side effects and its the safest way for you to get your ideal weight. But please remember to consult your doctor first before taking any form of pills!!

So, I am gonna give this a go and will get back to you in a couple of weeks!

luv, me.

nike+ fuelband

so just a couple of days ago, i met up with the NikeMY peeps just to catch up and get my remaining goodies from them. this new gadget i got is the best thing ever! it's called the nike+ fuelband.

why do i say it's awesome because, you don't really have to get into serious running/ or exercise mode initially. just charge the band, put it on and watch how your every move is recorded! and then from that, naturally you would want to do MORE and really get into exercising.

this fuelband lets you do any activities, from walking to lifting bags, to running, tennis, boxing, climbing the stairs, heck ANYTHING AT ALL! it records your calories, steps, fuel, and it also acts like a watch. in fact i turned my fuelband into my everyday accessory :)

you get to set an everyday goal. you will try to reach it and once you hit your goal, the excitement doesn't just stop there, you'd want to out-do yourself and set a higher goal! in a way it's like a personal cheerleader and motivator (in my opinion).

                                                                set up your device

                                                                 first time trying it out

almost reaching my goal 2K not even half a day!

fuelly gives you a victory dance when you've reached your goal!

day 2 of wearing the fuelband in just 1 1/2 hours

it looks awesome and cool right??? i really love this. slowly but surely when my knee is strong enough, i will increase my goal, work out harder and win trophies and see different dances from fuelly!

love, me.

post MRI...

so after doing the MRI, the results came back and it showed that i have a "partial patellar tendon tear". it means..my tendon just below the knee-cap has a partial tear. thank mickey its not a major thing. all i needed was a cast. but me being me..i avoided it because it was gonna restrict my movements (duh! thats why its supposed to be casted).

i ended up not using the cast, but i made sure i didn't put pressure on my right knee. the doctor said it's ok, i just need to continue with my physio and after about a month from i can slowly start with light jogging. as for my scars, it's ugly! but im putting mederma for now.

to be honest, i really cannot wait to start playing again!

love, me.

an alien invasion??

after the motorbike accident i had on Merdeka Eve, i went for an MRI. for the longest time i never knew what it meant, i didn't look it up coz i felt it wasn't necessary for me to know. hehehehe. of course that's not an excuse to not find out what it means. so now i know, MRI stands for Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

MRI was created by Dr. Raymond Damadian. he volunteered to be the test subject when nobody else wanted too. but it didn't really happen because it turned out Damadian was too big for the machine. in the end, a student voluntereed and on July 3 1977, MRI was first performed on a human being and it took almost 5 hours to produce an image.

MRI is done to diagnose brain tumors, torn ligaments, tendonitis, cancer, and strokes just to name a few. this is the best way to see the inside of someone without cutting them open! :D

before i went in i was asked questions like if i had metals in my body, if i had done a surgery and etc. i got a little bit confused when she asked about metals in my body..don't know why, maybe coz i always felt like a bionic woman with all my activities and sports...that i just dont know when to stop! (it's always important to have a balance in everything you do, i've learnt that). the procedure took about 45 minutes and that's only for my right knee! i wasn't allowed to move because just like a camera, when taken in low light and if you move, then the image will be blurred, and that means, it has to be taken again.

i was quite nervous when i was in the MRI machine. it was really noisy! it felt like an alien invasion. the sounds of the machine was kinda like a flying saucer in the movies where it just hovers above you and.... it also had like a machine gun noise! and the "bed" vibrated!

the funniest thing was after the nurse said i couldn't move, not even a twitch, she put on Savage Garden, The Wanted as the background music! now how was i suppose to keep still? i was so tempted to tap my feet! hahahaah

but jokes aside, this procedure made a hole in my pocket. RM952 was the amount i had to pay. the result will be out on Wednesday (29/09/2012) and let's hope my ligaments and tendons are fine. (fingers crossed)

luv, me.i
